A Lompoc man has pleaded guilty in a fatal DUI crash. The crash happened on October 28, 2022, on Highway 1. CHP investigators say 32-year-old Kyle Nelson was under the influence of marijuana when he tried to pass a slower vehicle. When he veered into oncoming traffic, he collided with another car, killing 19-year-olds Jenna Causby and Dorothy Guthrie. Nelson is facing 12 years in prison when he’s sentenced in April.
