An apartment fire in Arroyo Grande sent one person to the hospital yesterday. Five Cities Fire Authority firefighters responded to the South Elm Street scene just after 1:30. One person was inside the apartment when the fire broke out. She was able to escape the flames but suffered burns along the way. Firefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading to adjacent apartments. The Cause of the fire is under investigation.
