The Lompoc Police Department released a surveillance video of events that led to a fatal officer-involved shooting. In the video, the suspect, 20-year-old Connor Amador, can be seen robbing the Circle K on Ocean Avenue at gunpoint. The gun turned out to be a BB gun. He can later be seen attempting a carjacking in the store’s parking lot. A few minutes later Amador approaches the store clerk with what appears to be a handgun and machete. He’s then confronted by a police officer outside the store. The investigation is ongoing.
