Two people are dead following a shooting and an hours long standoff in Arroyo Grande. Just after 3:00 o’clock yesterday, Arroyo Grande Police responded to a report of shots fired at the Cortina D’Arroyo Grande Senior Apartments. When they arrived, they found a victim. The suspect, a resident of the complex, had barricaded himself in an apartment. A three and a half hours long standoff with police would follow. According to police, the suspect would later be found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. An investigation is ongoing.
