The defense attorney for a man accused of beating an unhoused man to death rested his case yesterday. Marco Cota is accused of murdering 64-year-old Rick Fowler in November 2021. His defense attorney questioned two forensic experts about the victim’s injuries and cause of death. The defense and prosecution have rested their cases and closing arguments could begin this morning.
