Atascadero residents have a chance to vote for this fall. With Atascadero Mayor Heather Moreno and Mayor Pro Temp Susan Funk competing for the District 5 seat of the County Board of Supervisors, an Atascadero City Councilman has thrown his hat in the ring for mayor. Charles Bourbeau announced his plan to run for mayor of Atascadero in a news release over the weekend. According to the Tribune, Bourbeau has been on the Atascadero City Council since 2016 and he believes he’s ready to serve as Mayor.
