An elementary school in the Santa Maria-Bonita School District is trying to get connected to the city’s water supply. Bonita Elementary School has been getting water from a well. That requires testing and filtration system maintenance. That water is used for toilets and handwashing. Drinking water comes from bottled water dispensers throughout the campus. On average Bonita Elementary goes through between 30 and 55 gallons a week. Officials are hopeful to be connected to the city water supply by 2025.
