Nipomo could soon be home to nearly 450 new homes. The San Luis Obispo County Planning Commission has approved conditional use permits for a pair of projects designed to add dense housing to the area. One of the projects will consist of more than 300 new homes, including more than 70 units built and operated by the Housing Authority of San Luis Obispo. The second project will be an assisted living in the Monarch Dunes area.
