A new affordable housing project in Grover Beach broke ground this week. When it’s completed, the Cleaver and Clark Commons apartment complex will include 53 units, an interior courtyard and two community rooms. The project has been nearly four decades in the making and is a partnership between the city of Grover Beach and People’s Self-Help Housing. Funding for the received a nearly 11 million dollar boost thanks to a grant from California’s Department of Finance. Construction is expected to be completed in late 2025.
