A suspected drunk driver struck and killed a person over the weekend. According to the CHP, 21-year-old Jace Haro was northbound on Highway 101 when he lost control of his car Saturday night at around 11:30. His car crashed into a light pole and then struck two people in an encampment north of Prado Road. One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The other suffered minor injuries. Haro was also injured in the crash. He was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail and later released. An investigation is ongoing.
