Atascadero Police used a unique tactic during a domestic dispute Friday afternoon. Police were called to a residence near Hidalgo and Buena Avenues. A domestic dispute between a male suspect and a female resulted in a standoff with police. The female victim was able to escape before police arrived. The incident ended after officers on-scene determined that a “tactical disengagement,” would be the best way to de-escalate the situation. According to KSBY, the case will be handed over to the D.A.’s Office.
