Ballots are still being counted from last week’s election. The race that some North County residents are keeping an eye on hasn’t changed too much. Atascadero Mayor Heather Moreno’s lead in the District 5 county supervisor race has increased. At last count, Moreno led Atascadero Mayor Pro Tem Susan Funk by 772 votes. A total of 58,099 ballots have been counted, bringing SLO County voter participation to 32.9 percent. According to the Tribune, today is the last day mail-in ballots will be counted, as long as they were postmarked by Election Day.
