A juvenile gray whale that was spotted swimming in the Morro Bay harbor more than a week ago is still hanging around. The whale was first spotted on Sunday, March 10th. Since then, wildlife officials have been keeping a close eye on the animal. Boaters, kayakers, and watersport businesses are being reminded to keep a safe distance of at least 100 yards away from the whale. Officials say whales sometimes wonder into harbors, bays, inlets, and estuaries for weeks at a time.
