A standoff with Paso Robles Police yesterday morning landed a man in jail. At around 10:15, a 71-year-old man reported that he had been assaulted by his son. When officers arrived at the man’s home on Oak Street, they discovered injuries on his face and arms. According to a press release, the suspect, 42-year-old Brian Andres, walked out of the home while EMTs treated his father. When he noticed law enforcement in the area he barricaded himself inside the home. He was arrested more than an hour later. He’s facing charges of elder abuse and a parole violation.
