Santa Margarita Lake has some new residents thanks to a group of local students. Students from Templeton Home School and Cayucos Elementary School released dozens of rainbow trout fry yesterday as part of a school project. The rainbow trout eggs, along with the fish tank and chiller, were donated by Creek Lands Conservation. A big part of the trout release was to help kids enjoy the outdoors.
