A hiker needed to be airlifted to safety over the weekend. The Santa Barbara County Fire Department received a call about a hiker who was stranded by rising water in the Santa Ynez River Saturday morning. First responders determined that a helicopter was the best option to rescue that hiker. Officials say the unidentified man was cold but uninjured.
