The Santa Maria Police Department has arrested a man they believe is connected to a February shooting that injured a 15-year-old. Authorities say a group of young adults and juveniles were hanging out in a nearby park when another group arrived and a fight started. Police say when the second group started to leave, the driver tried to run over the people in the first group while firing a gun into the crowd. Police identified the driver as 23-year-old Leonel Sanchez. He was arrested yesterday during a traffic stop.
