The Central Coast fishing industry is facing headwinds. Members of the Morro Bay Commercial Fishermen’s Organization and the Port San Luis Commercial Fisherman’s Association feel their livelihoods are being threatened. Officials say a proposed four hundred square-mile wind farm and new proposed gill-net fishing legislation could have a dramatic negative impact on the local fishing industry.
