Santa Maria Firefighters broke their silence over the City’s decision to declare an impasse in contract negotiations. According to KEYT, Santa Maria Firefighters Local 2020 released a statement claiming the city lacked good faith in the negotiation process. They also believe the City Council is not acting in the public’s interest. Firefighters Local 2020 wants wages comparable to other firefighters in Santa Barbara County.
