After a nationwide search, a Cal Poly Alum has been named as SLO County’s new County Administrative Officer. According to a press release, Matt Pontes earned a degree in forestry and natural resources at Cal Poly. He’s held key administrative roles in Shasta, Santa Barbara, and Kern counties. Officials say his first day on the job will be Monday, April 29th.
