Inmate Saved By Deputy

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office says an inmate is alive thanks to a deputy. A deputy at the Santa Barbara County Northern Branch Jail in Santa Maria found an unresponsive inmate in their cell at around 7:45 Monday night. The deputy started CPR and administered five rounds of Naloxone before an ambulance arrived. The inmate later woke up in an area hospital and is expected to recover.
