Homeless Safe Parking Site Remains Open For Now

The Oklahoma Avenue Safe Parking Site in San Luis Obispo will stay open for one more week. The site was due to close yesterday afternoon. County officials announced the site would remain open until next Monday. According to the Tribune, the extension comes with 60,000 dollars in funding to help the remaining residents find temporary shelter. Meanwhile, a lawsuit filed by the Homeless Union will move forward. The suit claims the county and CAPSLO were depriving them of their vehicular homes and other property without a fair exit process.
