It’s been almost 5-years since a dive boat off the coast of California, south of Santa Barbara caught fire, killing 34 people on board. It was the deadliest maritime disaster in recent U.S. history. Last year, the captain of the Conception, Jerry Boylan was found guilty of one count of misconduct or neglect of a ship officer. Yesterday, a federal judge sentenced Boylan to 4 years in prison. The families and friends of the 34 who perished in he blaze were extremely disappointed.
