San Luis Obispo County’s Oklahoma Avenue Safe Parking Site closed for good on Monday. According to a Grand Jury report, the site had been plagued by a series of health and safety issues. County officials said in a press release, the remaining residents would be given a total of $60,000 to fund temporary accommodations and relocation assistance. Yesterday, county workers began dismantling the site, moving remaining personal items and vehicles into cargo containers for the next 90 days.
