The closer we get to the Memorial Day weekend, gas prices continue to dip. According to Triple-A, the national average for regular unleaded is 3.61 a gallon. California is the most expensive at 5.27 a gallon. Analysts say as the economy cools and refineries wrap up maintenance and produce more gas prices should keep inching down. In San Luis Obispo County, gas is averaging 5.43 a gallon. In Santa Barbara County, the average is 5.23 a gallon.
