The California Coastal Commission has raised growing concerns about an increase in the number of rocket launches from Vandenberg Space Force Base. Some of the concerns include sonic booms that can heard across the Central Coast, launch-related marine debris, and impacts on public access, marine mammals, and the coastal ecosystem. According to Noozhawk, base officials plan to submit ongoing and new monitoring results from State and Federal studies.
