The San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors approved a transitional housing project. With a 3-2 vote, the Welcome Home Village transitional housing project will move forward. The 80 cabin-style facility is meant to help move unhoused residents from encampments lining the Bob Jones Trail in San Luis Obispo into permanent housing. The Welcome Home Village could break ground as soon as this fall and be completed in 2025.
