An 80-year-old Santa Maria man was fatally injured in a crash on the 101 Wednesday afternoon. CHP investigators say Ronald Dickerson was driving southbound on Highway 101 when his car rear-ended an SUV in stopped traffic near Union Valley Parkway. The SUV hit a third vehicle. Dickerson and two others were transported to an area hospital for treatment. The 80-year-old driver later died from his injuries.
