Two San Luis Obispo County non-profits have filed a lawsuit against SLO County regarding the approval of the Dana Reserve housing project. The Nipomo Action Committee and the San Luis Obispo chapter of the California Native Plant Society filed suit this week, arguing that the county’s approval violated the California Environmental Quality Act. To Make room for 1,370 new home, more than 3,000 oak trees would need to be removed. Water allocation for the 288-acre project is also an issue.
