SLO Board Of Supervisors Adopts Budget

The San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors has adopted a nearly 1 billion dollar budget for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. According to the Tribune, the board’s top priorities are to meet legal demands, debt service requirements, and enhance public safety. Meanwhile, budget cuts are on the horizon for several county departments due to a 15.6 million dollar deficit. The budget may need to be revised in September. San Luis Obispo County receives 39% of its general fund revenue from the state, which is facing a 68 billion dollar deficit.
