Gas prices continue to trend downward. According to Triple-A, the national average price for a gallon of regular is down to 3.44 a gallon. The cheapest gas is in Mississippi at 2.94 a gallon. Naturally, California has the most expensive gas at 4.92 a gallon. That’s down almost 40 cents a gallon from a month ago. San Luis Obispo County is averaging 5.21 a gallon. Santa Barbara County is averaging 4.99 a gallon, down 8 cents from last week.
