First responders from several agencies responded to a report of a downed aircraft over the weekend. According to the Tribune, a single-engine, four-seat Alpha Trainer attempted to land on a private runway at Halter Ranch vineyard Saturday afternoon. The pilot missed the runway by about 50 feet, ending up in the grape vines. None of the three people on board were seriously injured. The FAA has turned the investigation over to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office.
