Arroyo Grande Police arrested a suspected car thief yesterday afternoon. Authorities say 53-year-old David Camp of Pleasanton was yelling at passersby from a Tesla on West Branch Street. When officers arrived, they determined Camp was showing signs of intoxication. He also locked the car’s doors to avoid being arrested. His plan was foiled when officers called the Tesla dealership to remotely unlock the doors. Camp was taken into custody without further incident.
