A Santa Maria high school principal received community support at yesterday’s Santa Maria Joint Union High School District School Board meeting. Pioneer Valley High School’s principal, Shanda Herrera received a letter from the board giving her an ultimatum, resign within 45 days or be terminated. The school board released a statement saying “personnel matters are confidential” and they would not comment further.
