Driving Under the Influence may have been the cause of a fatal accident near Avila Beach early yesterday morning. According to the CHP, the crash happened just after 1 A.M. yesterday on San Luis Bay Drive near Sparrow Street. An investigation into the crash is ongoing. So far, authorities do not believe any other vehicles were involved. The passenger in the vehicle suffered fatal injuries. The driver suffered major injuries and was treated at an area hospital before being arrested on suspicion of DUI.
