You may smell or see smoke near Morro Bay over the next few days. That’s because firefighters are performing a prescribed burn at Morro Bay State Park today and tomorrow between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Roughly 80 piles of brush will be burned. The burn will help reduce wildfire potential and control non-native weeds while helping native plants thrive. CAL FIRE SLO and the Air Pollution Control District are working with the California State Parks to conduct the burn.
