The Santa Maria Police Department received some much-needed equipment funding. Last week, The Santa Maria Police Council held it’s 15th annual fundraiser, a golf tournament, auction, and comedy show. The fundraiser provided roughly 34,000 dollars to help the Police Department with various needs including the purchase of a second drone. Since 2007, the Santa Maria Police Council has raised close to 2 million dollars to fund needed equipment and training for the police department.
