Grover Beach has a new top cop. Former Commander Jim Munro was sworn in this week as the new Chief of Police for the Grover Beach P.D. He’ll replace longtime Chief John Peters, who announced his retirement in March. Peters has been with the Grover Beach Police Department for the past 18 years. He’s been the Chief of Police since 2015. Chief Peters’ last day will be July 1st. Chief Munro started his law enforcement career in Clovis before joining the Grover Beach Police Department in 2021.
