A major renovation project in Guadalupe has hit a snag. According to Noozhawk, a proposed bond measure to fill a funding shortfall for the ambitious Royal Theater renovation will not appear on the November ballot. The project is now in jeopardy. The city has 10.5 million dollars in state and federal funding for the project, but the estimated cost is 13 million dollars. Officials are now trying to close the 2.5 million dollar gap or risk losing a portion of the grant funding.
