The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 19-year-old woman at the county’s Crisis Stabilization Unit. Authorities say Elina Branco died in May while under the watch of staff at the county’s Crisis Stabilization Unit off Johnson Avenue. The cause of her death, circumstances surrounding it, and other factors are under investigation.
