The California Highway Patrol will be conducting a Maximum Enforcement Period through the Fourth of July weekend. Starting at 6:01 p.m. on Wednesday, all available CHP officers will be on patrol to combat unsafe driving and enforce speed limit regulations during the holiday weekend. Officers will also be looking for distracted driving and seatbelt violations.
