Firefighters Battling Lake Fire

Firefighters from agencies up and down the Central Coast are battling a Santa Barbara County wildfire this morning. Officials say the Lake Fire, near Zaca Lake in the Los Padres National Forest, was first reported on Friday afternoon. By Saturday night, the blaze had charred more than 13,260 acres. Late last night, Cal Fire reported The Lake Fire had grown close to 19,000 acres. Evacuation orders are in place for all areas from Figueroa Mountain Road at Junction Camp to Chamberlin Ranch and All areas from Zaca Lake Road at Foxen Canyon Road north to the Sisquoc River, including east of Foxen Canyon Road to the 9000 block. At last report, the Lake fire was 8 percent contained. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
