Cal Fire SLO Firefighters made quick work of a vegetation fire off Creston Road yesterday. At one point, the flames threatened nearby power lines. More than 2500 PG&E Customers were without power for several hours. By the time the flames were doused, they had scorched roughly 40 acres. A short time later, Cal Fire SLO crews kept a wildland fire in check in San Miguel. The fire was first reported at around 8:45. Forward progress of the flames was halted by 9:30.
