The President of the Santa Maria Joint Union High School District Board of Education, has submitted a letter of resignation. Diana Perez’s resignation was effective yesterday. According to a press release, she has announced her candidacy for Mayor of Santa Maria. She had been President of the Santa Maria Joint Union High School District Board of Education on a provisional basis since 2014.
