The Lompoc Unified School District has received a 2.6 million dollar grant. The district plans to use the grant funding from the California Department of Health Care Access and Information to hire up to 27 Certified Wellness Coaches. The wellness coaches will focus on increasing student knowledge of nutrition, exercise, social, and emotional skills through pro-social activities and wellness programs.
