Yesterday was the last day of a homeless outreach project in Santa Maria. Rescue Mission Alliance Central Coast had been handing out clothes, shoes, food, health services and resources at Preisker Park. According to KEYT, the city is not extending its permit to be at the park, preventing future outreach events. City officials say another location would be more suitable for the mission’s assistance programs.
