A Santa Maria man has been arrested for his alleged connection to a homicide. Investigators say officers found an adult male with life-threatening injuries at a self-storage complex on North Preisker Lane Sunday evening. Less than half an hour later, they caught up with 30-year-old Carlos Loyola. He was driving the victim’s car near the Highway 101 and Highway 166 interchange. He tried to flee but failed. His bail was set at two million dollars. The investigation is ongoing.
