Gas price have dipped an average of 2 cents across the country. According to Triple-A, the national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is 3.49 a gallon. Mississippi has the cheapest gas at 2.96 a gallon. Hawaii has the highest gas prices in the nation at 4.67 a gallon, followed by California at 4.65 a gallon. San Luis Obispo County is averaging 4.90 a gallon and Santa Barbara County is reporting 4.78 a gallon.
