Santa Barbara County firefighters were called out to a vegetation fire east of Santa Maria yesterday morning. The fire was first reported at around 9:50. When crews arrived, the flames were burning next to the block of Foxen Canyon Road. Firefighters held the fire to less than 2.5 acres. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
