Atascadero Police are investigating a fatal car crash that happened on Highway 41 Saturday night. The crash happened near Old Morro Road. The highway was closed in both directions after a vehicle caught fire. First responders determined the sole occupant of the vehicle had died as a result of the accident. The driver was only identified as a male. An investigation is ongoing.
